Baltimore County Heritage Network

Baltimore County has a rich history, with significant contributions to Maryland’s and America’s cultural, technological, environmental, and social evolution. There are many great museums, societies, historic sites, and other groups championing this history. However due to its unique geography and cultural landscape it is difficult for historical organizations to reach all of its citizens as a cohesive population.

The Baltimore County Heritage Network was formed in 2022, supported by a grant from the Maryland Center for History and Culture’s Miller History Fund. This collaboration of small history organizations around Baltimore County allows us to share our combined strengths. The free network offers members a centralized website and email newsletter to reach a broader combined audience for their programs and events. It also offers skill-building workshops that can be difficult to access for small organizations on their own. We hope to increase the sustainability and public awareness of our member organizations. More than that we hope to spread our love of our local history and its amazing stories to more people in our region.
