Grand Reopening & Voices and Votes
June 29, 2022 @ 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM

HSBC is the keeper of history in Baltimore County and a facilitator for the future of Baltimore County. In support of this year’s election, we’ve invited the candidates to attend this event and we’ve invited you, as voters and future voters. As part of our mission, we are pleased to provide an opportunity for informal yet important conversations.
Our local Voices and Votes exhibit highlights Baltimore County’s stories of struggles, successes, and collaboration toward achieving the promise of democracy for all County citizens. It provides a context for understanding our country’s hard-earned rights – civil rights, immigrant issues and suffrage. You will learn about the challenges to obtain these rights and the continuing importance of your vote.
Votes for Women: A Portrait of Persistence, a poster exhibition from the Smithsonian, celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Nineteenth Amendment and explores the complexity of the women’s suffrage movement.
Another highlight of the exhibit was contributed by students from Pikesville High School. They produced a documentary exploring voting laws and trends in Maryland and throughout the nation, various methods of voicing opinions and making change, as well as the impact of social media.
Now is the time for us all to make a difference! Every Vote Counts!
We look forward to seeing you on June 29th from 5 pm – 7 pm
Wine, beer and light refreshments will be served.
