Have you driven through the intersection of Falls Road and Old Court Road and wondered about the lovely old stone buildings which line Falls Road just to the north? Ever noticed the “office” building on the southwest corner? Why does it have a mill wheel beside it?

The Rockland farm, village and environs included two plantation manor houses dated 1706 and 1838. A water, and later steam-powered grist and calico mill was constructed in 1810 and rebuilt after a fire in 1857. Rockland Mills Village remains today the oldest continuously inhabited Mill Village in America.
